Exclusive: J. Pyles Shares Gospel-Infused Medley of Christmas Songs

Gospel artist J. Pyles is ushering in the Christmas season with a powerful medley of classic holiday songs. By infusing the Gospel message with his vocal range, he’s appealing to a wider audience to share the importance of God’s love during this holy time.

J. Pyles Christmas Medley

During the 9 minute Christmas medley, Pyles tackles the timeless classic “Oh Holy Night” as well as the beloved “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway. Accompanied by only a piano player, Pyles sits on his stool singing away while a Christmas tree is lit in the background with presents surrounding it. His voice embraces listeners like a warm blanket on crisp, cold night and allows them to tuck away with a warm cup of cocoa as he serenades them with both songs.

Pyles is committed to ministry and using his voice to spread the Gospel. He rededicated his life to his first love of Gospel music in 2019 following a stint as a R&B artist. He vowed to never return to secular music. He credits his vocal styling to Gospel legend Darryl Coley.

Today, he is a worship leader and minister at Tabernacle of Praise Family Worship Center in Houston, TX. Late this past summer, he released his newest single “I Want It All” and followed up with his EP “Set Apart” in the fall. “I Want It All” is a declarative song that encourages listeners to use the power of God to take back whatever the Devil or life’s circumstances has stolen from them. The lyrics say “I’m taking it all back. Can’t take my joy that belongs to me. I’m done playing this is the new me. Taking it for the Devil just like that. Yeah just like that.”

Overall, Pyles’ plan is to become a multi-generational talent by using his unique vocal flare and poignant messaging.
