White Woman Births Black Baby, Sues Clinic
A woman in Georgia has filed a civil lawsuit against a fertility clinic after she experienced one of the wildest child births you can imagine.
Krystena Murray, 38, became pregnant through vitro fertilization two years ago. However, it wasn’t until the day she gave birth that she realized a grave mistake made by the clinic responsible for her pregnancy.
Murray, from Savannah, gave birth in November 2023. But she quickly realized the clinic’s error as it was apparant the baby wasn’t developed from her lab-fertilized eggs.
Both Murray and her sperm donor are both white, but the baby boy she gave birth to was Black. She soon discovered that doctors transferred another patient’s embryo – and not her own.
That didn’t stop Murray from raising the child. After 5 months, however, the clinic tracked down the baby’s biological mother. She ended up demanding to have the child released to her, leaving Murray no choice but to comply.
On Tuesday Murray filed a lawsuit against Coastal Fertility Specialists, citing ongoing pain and anguish from the clinic’s apparent missteps. There is no word out on exactly how much in monetary compensation she’s seeking from the lawsuit.

“I have never felt so violated and the situation has left me emotionally and physically broken,” Murray told reporters during a virtual news conference. “I spent my entire life wanting to be a mom. I loved, nurtured and grew my child and I would have done literally anything to keep him.”
According to Adam Wolf, Murray’s lawyer, there’s no explanation as to where Murray’s own embryos are.
