Southwest Airlines is shaking things up as you can now book their flights on Expedia!
For years, Southwest only let customers book through its own website and app, but that’s changing. Now, you can find and book Southwest flights directly on Expedia and its other travel sites like Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, and CheapTickets.

“We’re excited to expand our reach with this new, cost-effective way for people to book,” said Tony Roach, Southwest’s EVP of Customer & Brand. “Expedia offers a great experience, and we’re looking forward to introducing even more travelers to Southwest’s network and hospitality.”
This move builds on Southwest’s recent decision to list fares on Google Flights (which started in May 2024), though back then, you still had to go to Southwest’s website to book. Now, you can complete your booking right on Expedia.
Greg Schulze, Expedia’s Chief Commercial Officer, called the partnership a perfect fit, saying, “Southwest is a beloved airline known for great service, and we’re all about giving travelers more options and value.”
It might take a little time for all Southwest flights to appear on Expedia’s platforms, but by Thursday night, the full schedule should be available.
And that’s not the only big change coming to Southwest. The airline is also planning to roll out assigned seating, a new cabin layout with extra legroom seats, and even its first-ever redeye flights. Looks like Southwest is stepping up its game!
