Prophetess Cycelia Matthews gave us the anthem of the year during her visit to The Faith Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. last week. In the viral clip that has since crossed a million views, she made a point to remind believers to adapt a winner’s mindset. The simple yet powerful lyrics are, “I ain’t begging, I’m believing! ‘25 is my season! Imma party all year long, ‘cause God is on the throne. The devil got it all wrong!”

Social media followers are taking the message to heart. One responded to the freestyle with, “2025 is our year to smile, laugh, prosper, succeed, grow, soar high like eagles 🦅, and walk with fire 🔥 as children of GOD in the name of Jesus Christ.” Another said, “I definitely need to make this my ringtone.”

The resounding words were part of Matthews’s sermon on day four of The Faith Center’s ‘8 Days of Refreshing’ fast. The church’s leaders were glad to have had her share the message. “What an incredibly powerful day at The Faith Center! Prophetess @ccycelia Matthews truly brought heaven to earth, delivering an anointed word that declared healing, peace, wealth, and restoration over our house. Her ministry was a blessing, and we are so grateful she poured into us for day four of our 8 Days of Refreshing.”

In an Instagram live addressing the moment, Matthews shared that she wasn’t originally meant to preach at the event. “I was a replacement, but it was a God moment.” The new anthem came from the scripture Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.”

Though she is not a singer, rapper, or musician she wanted to be sure attendees got the message. “I believe there is a posture those of us as sons of daughters in the kingdom have, we don’t beg. We say what we want to see and then we will see what we’ve said,” she explained.

As with most viral moments, the clip was also met with criticism. Matthews assured viewers she was not trying to perform for the crowd. “I was actually preaching, I was not trying to put on a show. When you see me you will see Jesus.” She wants supporters to know ‘I ain’t begging, I’m believing’ is more than a catchphrase, it’s a biblical truth.

The word of God is the only thing that won’t return void. Back up your faith this year with Psalm 37:25 and these supporting scriptures:

Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight.

John 11:40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?”
